Statement

I am not a Buddhist; but I admire Buddhism philosophies. In a discussion with a buddhist monk officiating at the pagoda But Phap (in the province of Vat Ninh in 1999), we discussed several questions about Buddhism and the life of the monks.

At the end of our discussion, the monk plunged himself in his quiet reflexions, then suddenly said: where is the Buddha?

It was an intense and invading feeling, that I felt (or which was given to me by the grace) coming from a highly old, virtuous and respected monk. He almost devoted all his life to the Buddhism.

Moreover, in the subsoil of his heart, there is always the question where is the point of arrival which is always in front. Is this question not intended for the whole humanity in this world?
